Currently named “Tiberina Island-Gemelli Island Hospital,” it has been a hospital since the year 1584. It stands on Tiber Island, on the site of the ancient temple dedicated to Aesculapius.
During Nazi-Fascist persecution, head physician Giovanni Borromeo together with two other colleagues, Sacerdoti and Ossicini, invented the “K Syndrome” a fake disease, defined as contagious, which allowed many persecuted Jews to be hidden in a ward of the hospital.

It is not always easy to do the right thing if it requires going against the authority of that moment. Authority not only understood as government or law, but also as the majority in a group, a common thought that differs from our own.
Do we have the courage to stand up for our ideas if we believe the cause is right?

Create a small situation in which there may be doubt between “the right thing to do” and “context”; such as the choice faced by the three doctors (saving lives but risking death by going against the regime). Once you have created the situation present it to passersby and find out how people would act.
